mad wet

The Dramatics' "In The Rain" has got to have one of the most perfect intros ever. Storm noises, then that dusted ass echochamber.
Most recently used by DJ Scratch for B. Siegel's "Purple Rain" (where the hook was borrowed too), the track has been used by not a small amount of producers. Rza lifted the guitar picks for GZA, etc.
My first introduction to the song, however, (and how many times has this been true?) was through sticky icky jungle. In the seventh grade I wondered where the hell the loop from the beginning of Easy Vol. 6 was from. Back then I concluded that it must be some obscure dub track. Who else has that kind of perfect echo? Yeah, obviously I learned that it belonged to the dramatics, but it always just stuck to me, whenever i heard it, as more of a dub track than anything else. For that reason, my favorite usage of it has been that Easy Vol. 6 track, which i already posted on some mp3 blog somewhere. But what the hell, it is summer. Here are the two tracks, The Dramatics, "In The Rain" and Droppin Science, "Easy Vol. 6."
For all you smokers, sippers; enjoy. dubbed out bliss.

I was just saying to myself while listening to "purple rain" that I must copy that shit onto mp3 so I can have it on teh ipod. Its like perfect rainy summers day song, ideal in london.
You brought back some memories with that Easy remix too, I think I have that on cassette somewhere but cassettes can be such a pain in the arse.
You heard the unreleased Ghostface track that RZA sampled the whole of In The Rain for? It's called, wait for it, In The Rain! From just after Iron Man. Shit is incredible, all about his man somethingorother being shot.
